G5M-D Iridium/GPS Collar

Get your animal's location data from the ATS Iridium Website, via two-way Iridium satellite. Receive SMS text messages on specified events, including traversing a geo-fence.

Highlights:

  • 580 grams total weight (1“D” Batteries)
  • Remotely commanded collar release mechanism via ATS Website command
  • Long life, 2 to 4 years, typical (1”D” Batteries)
  • "G5M" models offer Neolink radio-link for Neolink devices
  • Remotely commanded fix rate changes to one every ten minutes available
  • Geo-fencing capability with SMS text alerts

Get your animal's data from anywhere you can access the web.

You can easily program the G5M-D collar using the supplied Windows-based software. You can control how often fixes are collected and stored, how often data is uploaded to the ATS Iridium website (up to six per day, each holding up to 22 locations), and how often the VHF beacon will transmit (this allows you to maximize battery life).

The model G5M-D uses the Iridium satellite system to send stored location data collected by the collar’s on-board GPS receiver to ATS’s servers. The data is then uploaded to the ATS Iridium website where users can view and retrieve their data. Available data files include location data in .csv format and Google Earth .kml files.

You can also use the ATS website to remotely command "on-the-fly" changes to the fix rate, mortality schedule, fix duration time, Iridium data transmission interval, and/or VHF schedule of your collar. A remotely commanded collar release is also accomplished using the website. Another feature of the website is that you can configure email and SMS alerts for certain events.

An integrated VHF transmitter on the collar allows you to track the animal in the field, and the collar release mechanism allows you to release the collar from the animal and reuse the collar later. In addition, the G5M models provide a radio-link with the M3930U VIT Transmitter and M4230BU Fawn Collar to monitor specific events such as birth and proximity.
